DNR – Hunter Safety Course

Michigan’s Hunter Education Program.
This Program is spread over 3 days commencing Tuesday 13th March at 4pm.
Tuesday 13th & Wednesday 14th will be 4pm – 8pm and Thursday 15th will be 4pm – 9pm.
Students must attend all three sessions in order to receive a Hunter Safety Certificate.
Safe hunting begins with hunter education, which has had a dramatic impact on reducing hunting incidents in Michigan. Hunting is safe and getting safer!
Hunter safety is required if you were born after January 1, 1960 and you want to purchase any Michigan hunting license, or if you are planning an out-of-state hunting trip.
What to Expect:
-Time commitment — 3 days or 13 hours- attendance until completion required.
-Students under the age of 12 years old much be accompanied by an adult.
-Class fee $10 to cover field supplies
-Field day required — schedule in advance to make sure you get a spot.
-A 50 question, multiple choice state exam.
-Classes taught by seasoned and experienced volunteers.
-Hands-on demonstrations, practice, and live fire shooting.
Students must come in store to sign up and pay the course cost before Tuesday 13th March
Places are limited to only 20 per course.
